STANDARD SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL ENTRIES
  1. All non-English language entries must be translated into English, or have an English translation subtitled or taped to the back of each piece.
  2. An explanation of the creative brief, goals, and execution can be submitted upon on-line entry in the Entry Description text box provided. (400 words max)
  3. Do NOT roll entries. All entries should be received FLAT.
  4. Please do not contact the ADC about uploading jpegs, movie files etc. We do NOT accepted jpeg files or video uploads.
  5. Package your entries by main category. To ensure your package is judged correctly please write in bold letters on your packing slip: DESIGN JUDGING or ADVERTISING JUDGING, etc.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR MEDIA TYPES

VIDEO GUIDELINES:
GD165-169, GD170, GD172-184, AD201-AD205, AD207-AD216, AD225-AD227, AD237-240, AD241, AD246-AD247 & IG000
  1. Videos should not exceed 2 minutes.
  2. Files should be encoded to NTSC standards.
  3. Please send work in mp4 format on a data DVD.
  4. DVDs that launch automatically (and include .VOB files) are NOT admissible.
  5. All Files MUST be titled with its individual entry number. Example: AD104-#####-S.mp4
    *NOTE: If your work is not titled correctly it will be disqualified.

  6. If you are submitting the same file for multiple categories the file MUST be submitted individually and titled with its individual Entry ID for each category.
  7. Tape or rubber band the printed Entry Label(s) to the DVD case. Title the disk with company name, city and country.
  8. We do NOT accept video uploads.

RADIO GUIDELINES:
AD206, AD214, and AD242
  1. All entries must be uploaded through the entry site as MP3 audio files.
  2. File size is limited to a maximum of 5MB.
  3. Campaigns should be combined into one MP3 file. Insert 1 second of silence between spots within a campaign.
  4. Any foreign-language spots should include written translations and/or an English version, if possible. If providing a written translation, please do so in the Entry Description text box on the registration site.
  5. Name your file with your entry ID. Example AD206-00123-S.mp3.

PRINT GUIDELINES:
GD101-113, GD139-145, GD165-GD171, AD217-AD233, AD237-AD240, AD241-AD247, PH401-PH425, IG000 & IL501-IL526.
  1. Submit unmounted originals, proofs, reprints or tear sheets, trimmed as published.
    (No photocopies or comps.)
  2. Submissions should be no larger than 24x36 inches. (60x90 cm)
  3. Oversized posters and billboards may be represented by unmounted artwork reproductions or in-situ photographs. (GD139-145, AD233-238, & AD244)
  4. For single entries, tape the printed Entry Label to the back of the piece.
  5. Magazine spreads and campaigns consisting of 3-5 pieces should be taped left to right and folded accordion-style. (If your project is large or oversized do not accordion but submit as individuals and label 1/4, 2/4, etc.)
  6. Tape a printed Entry Label to the back of the last piece, so that the label can be easily read and scanned from the back.
  7. Campaigns submitted with more than 5 pieces must be entered and paid for as separate entries.
    (Be sure to note on the back of each entry it's corresponding entry number.)
  8. If you are submitting more then 5 pieces for one entry, and do not follow the above guidelines, 5 will be selected by the ADC for judging.
  9. We do NOT accept jpegs.

PHYSICAL or COLLATERAL WORK GUIDELINES:
GD114-GD138, GD146-GD164, GD170, IG000 & AD234-AD236
  1. Submit each entry and its related components together in one large envelope. If the work is flat (stationery, etc.) you can mount components on Illustration or Presentation board. (NO foam core please.)
  2. Magazine Full Issue and Books should be submitted as is.
  3. Book Jackets should be submitted alone. Do not submit entire volumes for this category.
  4. Each item must be identified by taping a printed Entry Label to the back/bottom of each item.
  5. If an entry has several components please number each entry in the order of appearance (1/4, 2/4, etc.). Make copies of the Entry Label as needed.

INTERACTIVE GUIDELINES:
GD170, IG000, IN301-IN333
  1. All interactive work must be submitted as a URL.
  2. For campaigns, please create one landing page listing links/URLs to each website in your series. Please provide your landing page URL and any username and password information in the Website Information section. In addition, you must list the title of EACH of your websites in the main title fields, as each site is considered a piece of your entry.
  3. All URLs must remain live through August 31, 2012 in order to be judged.
  4. If the URL is linked to a movie (and not a typical website), please ALSO submit the movie file on a data DVD.

EXCEPTIONS:

INTEGRATED and BRANDING CAMPAIGN

In these categories you can submit up to 10 elements total. Work may be submitted in any of the following formats: print, video, collateral, and interactive.

ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN and AMBIENT/ENVIRONMENTAL ADVERTISING
You may submit either print and/or digital assets. Please see the “Video Guidelines” and “Print Guidelines” above.
