Working from New York and Chicago, ALSO is a three-headed creative team – part designer, illustrator, and animator. Jenny, Julia, and Matt create highly customized websites and print work for a fun and visually adventurous clientele. They have gained acclaim for the animated Charmingwall website, the re-design of Design*Sponge, and the Reform School store site. ALSO won the prestigious Young Guns Award from the Art Director’s Club in 2008. Currently they are working on authoring and curating The Exquisite Book, a project based on the Surrealist game called the Exquisite Corpse, played by one hundred contributing contemporary fine artists, illustrators, designers and comic artists. The book will be published by Chronicle Books and comes out this fall.
Aside from ALSO, Julia illustrates and creates pattern designs for companies like The New York Times, Victoria's Secret, and Urban Outfitters. She also runs a blog that features a new art book daily called Book-By-Its-Cover.com
