Dirk Barnett is currently the Creative Director of Maxim magazine. Previously, he was the Creative Director for Blender magazine, Key, the New York Times Real Estate Magazine, Play, the New York Times Sports Magazine, Premiere magazine, and Popular Science.
Barnett's work has been recognized by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, The American Society of Magazine Editors, the Type Director's Club, the Art Directors Club, British Design and Art Direction Awards, and the Society of Publication Designers.
He teaches at the School of Visual Arts and is currently the Vice President of the Society of Publication Designers. He lives in New York City with his wife and 7-month old son, Bodhi.
