Sean Saylor is Vice President of Creative for MTV and VH1 Latin America and MTV International. In this role, Saylor is responsible for managing the creative vision and creative services for MTV and VH1 Latin America, as well as all promotional strategies for MTV international. He leads a team of designers, visual artists, copywriters, producers and audio engineers responsible for bringing to life the image of all advertising, collateral materials, special events and contests across all brands. Based in Miami, Saylor has a dual report into Fernando Gaston, Senior Vice President/of Content for MTV and VH1 Latin America, and Antonio Campo Dall'Orto, Executive Vice President of Music Brands & Managing Director of MTV Europe South.
In 2008, Saylor played a key role in the launch and development of MTV International’s World Design Studio (WDS) based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, one of two hubs responsible for the development of MTV International’s creative innovation. Under his leadership, the WDS creates global campaigns that are youth relevant and adaptable for local markets. In its one year of existence, the WDS has produced countless ground breaking campaigns for shows including 16 & Pregnant and the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards. Saylor has also taken on several producing roles, most recently serving as Executive Producer of the multi-language music video “Wavin’ Flag”, a partnership with Coke Latin America for the 2010 World Cup anthem.
Previously, Saylor was Creative Director of MTV and VH1 Latin America, in charge of conceiving the overall off-air promotional efforts for the brands throughout Latin America. Under his leadership, the team has received numerous creative and marketing recognitions from Promax and BDA for their outstanding marketing and image campaigns including several MTV’s Los Premios (Latin America’s VMA). Saylor’s marketing and creative expertise was instrumental in the design of MTV Latin America’s “Tongue” award given to recording artists at the annual Los Premios MTV. Saylor’s creative design also graced the cover of Alejandro Sanz MTV Unplugged in 2003, which received a Latin Grammy®.
Prior to this position, Saylor was Art Director for MTV Networks Latin America, developing strategies for advertising campaigns and overseeing the artistic development of all off-air marketing and promotional materials. He joined MTV Networks Latin America in 1998 as Graphic Designer responsible for creating images used in a variety of creative projects.
Prior to joining MTV Networks Latin America, Saylor was Art Director at Braga Menendez Advertising Agency in Buenos Aires, Argentina, responsible for creating campaigns for the company’s top clients.
A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Saylor holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design.
