ROBERT MURDOCK
Method
USA
As Chief Creative Officer, Robert is charged with shaping the creative vision for Method's studios and clients. Working closely with the Experience Design team, he's responsible for crafting much of Method's groundbreaking work across brand and digital experiences for some of the most respected brands worldwide. Robert's holistic approach to design and innovation has allowed him to work on projects ranging from interface design for products, brand identity and communications design to interactive design for web and evolving platforms.
Over the course of his tenure at Method, Robert has served as creative director on work for Autodesk, TED, Nokia, Nike, and Comcast. Most recently, he's been working with Nokia to redefine their approach to creating new services and engaging with customers across platform and device.
Robert believes in a collaborative approach, creating work that engages and inspires, but also addresses business objectives and moves clients toward their goals. He believes that exceptional design has the ability to meet these objectives, transcend the ephemeral, and make a meaningful connection with its audience.
Robert boasts more than 15 years of brand and interactive experience. Prior to Method, he founded Coato, a small design studio focusing on innovative skunk-works User Interface prototypes for Automotive and Consumer Electronics clients across the US, Asia and Europe. During his time at Coato, several of the teams concepts were converted from visions of the future into fully developed products still being used today.
Early on, Robert broadened his expertise at several interdisciplinary studios including Fitch and Addwater, where he worked with a variety of brands, from Levis to Sun Microsystems.
