Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Katie Jain came to San Francisco to study design at the California College of Arts and Crafts. She began her career at Templin Brink Design, where she created work for clients such as American Eagle Outfitters, Peace Cereal, Quiksilver and Williams-Sonoma. Then, with Joel Templin, she co-founded Hatch Design, a San Francisco based branding and graphic design firm centered on one powerful idea: the best design is honest, hands-on and human. At Hatch, they have created award-winning work for global companies including: Apple, Coca-Cola, GE, Johnson & Johnson, Harrah’s, Hilton, Starbucks and many others, as well as launched their first hatchling, JAQK Cellars.
