Early in his career Jack worked with the men and women who changed the face of advertising. Hal Riney. Bob Gage. Phyllis Robinson. Helmut Krone. And the legendary Bill Bernbach.
Jack learned their lessons well. In 1986 he was elected a director of DDB Needham Worldwide, and held the top creative post in the firm’s flagship New York office until his retirement in 1994. During his tenure there, that office alone won more creative awards than any other agency in the world.
His personal campaign credits include Volkswagen, American Tourister, Polaroid, Avis, Clairol, Hershey, Nabisco, Sony, IBM, Weight Watchers, Citicorp, and the famous Michelin baby commercials. He’s won hundreds of awards for creative excellence and marketing effectiveness, including the prestigious Stephen E. Kelly award.
In 1992 Adweek magazine named him the Best Creative Director in the East, and that year his global campaign for Seagram, entitled “Cognac, L’Art de Martell,” was placed in New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
