Laurence Klinger was born in São Paulo, Brazil.
He started in Advertising in 1972, as a copywriter.
Since then, he has worked in agencies in Brazil, Spain, and the U.S.
Since joining Lápiz in 1999, the agency has won the most important awards in the industry, including Cannes Lions, Art Directors Club N.Y., The One Show, Clios, Fiap, Addys, ANA, Ojo de Iberoamerica, El Sol.
Lápiz was also elected AAAA’s Multicultural Agency of the Year in 2004 and 2006, is the recipient of more Effie awards than any other U.S. Hispanic agency, and in 2009 won Best of Show at Ad Age’s Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards.
Laurence is also a fiction writer, with two short-story books published in the U.S.
