Spring 78: Bertrand is eighteen years old
His rock group takes to the stage. They play the first part of the first concert in Europe of THE CRAMPS, the cult new-wave group from New York.
Summer 78: His first job at St Tropez where he spent a large part of his childhood. The Voom Voom nightclub owned by the famous Charlie Marcantoni .
Scuba diving – breaking his depth record (95 meters without diluent)
1979/1983: Working at St Tropez and doing military service with the aviation division of the French army.
1982/1995: Along with Patrice de Colmont, owner of the legendary Club 55, and a gang of friends, he organizes the Nioulargue, the international regatta of St Tropez, as well as the Offshore world championships (benevolently) – creation of the IYCP, the International Yacht Club of Pampelonne.
1983: Bertrand does an advertising internship in Paris at ECOM belonging to Havas group – working on the budgets of Hollywood chewing gum and the RATP.
1985: Still at ECOM, after 6 months, he wins an award at the Festival de Cannes – a silver in the food category.
1989: He wins an award at Cannes for Malibu and the legend of the fishers of Barracuda. He works alongside his friend Voutch, today a successful newspaper illustrator.
1990: The Suchet/Voutch team transfers to TBWA.
1992: Creative Director at Léo Burnett
End of 1993: Launch of Louis XIV with his friend Jean-Luc Bravi. The agency starts with six people, increasing growing to a staff of seventy after three years. The rapidly developing agency regularly wins awards for its campaigns for Audi, Nike, Leclerc and Neutrogena.
1999/2000: While still president of Louis XIV and heading Création, he organizes three underwater archeological expeditions in the Indian Ocean. Searching and discovering shipwrecks – excavation – exhibition at the Maritime Museum of Zanzibar (unfortunately in civil war).
2001: Louis XIV and DDB join forces. After seven magnificent years, Bertrand becomes president of the new entity. The agency counts just over 300 people.
2003: Birth of Louise, his daughter.
2005: Co-president of the group DDB France.
2006: Becomes president of the French Art Directors Club.
End of 2009: Bertrand and his associate take on another associate, their longtime friend Matthieu de Lesseux, the founder of the digital agency, Duke.
